GSoC 2016 Project Ideas---- NEXT GENERATION WPS-JS :

Shivang Belwariar
Code challenge: Create an HTML form with one field for an URL. On asynchronous form submission, a WPS GetCapabilities request using POX is sent to the defined URL and the response is parsed using JSONIX and the name of the WPS is displayed in an HTML DIV element within the same page.

what does POX means ?
parsed using JSONIX is same as parsing using JSON?

Thank You

POX: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plain_Old_XML
And you should use the JSONIX [1] library to parse the XML-response of the WPS and extract the name of the WPS.
If you find a library that you find more suitable for the task, feel free to use it and tell us the reason for your choice.

Cheers,

Benjamin

Hi Shivang,

POX stands for Plain Old XML
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plain_Old_XML). This means that you
should use the regular XML binding of the OGC WPS standard.

No, JSONIX ist not JSON. JSONIX is a JavaScript library that you
should use for parsing XML into a JSON representation.

Best regards
Simon
