enviroCar project doubts

prajwal m r
Hello,
This is Prajwal.I see that the enviroCar data in available in the form of JSON through the APIs. Is this also available anywhere in the form of csv , which could be used for things like data analytics directly?

Also it is mentioned in the Ideas page that the an additional task in this project would be to create a more light weight GeoJSON output format that is supported by third party libraries. This seems to be a little unclear to me. What exactly would it mean to create more lightweight format?

I request you to please help me clear these doubts.

Thank you
-Prajwal

Re: enviroCar project doubts

Arne de Wall-2

Hello Prajwal,

1. To request the data as csv simply set the accept header of your get request to "text/csv"

2. The heavy nesting of JSON key/value pairs in the GeoJSON properties element of the tracks (see phenomenons) is unfortunately not supported by many third party libraries or applications.

We hope that this helps.

Best Regards,
Arne
